A pipe suddenly broke and a waterfall of water started pouring into the halls and dorms of the 19th floor. Once the water began leaking through the floor boards, the water began leaking through the ceiling of the below floors, causing additional damage. COCAT was able to respond immediately to secure the site and immediately begin extracting the water to eliminate additional damage on floors below. Once the water was extracted, we began drying the building materials in place to minimize the amount of demolition needed. We were able to salvage all the carpet and the majority of drywall. The minimal drywall removed, as well as removing the baseboards was a technique used to assist in the drying process. In the end, COCAT was able to minimize damage and eliminate reconstruction necessities which makes for a successful water restoration job!
